Biography

Tara was a warm, loving, vivacious person who would do anything she could to help someone. She was caring, empathetic & at the same time loved a good debate! She was a strong woman; determined, sassy, bossy, and a terrific mother. She became a Mom in her teenage years and claimed that son was her "saving grace." She was as much a tomboy as she was a girlie girl. She loved earrings, jewelry, high heels, make up and clothes! She was equally comfortable camping, 4 wheeling, driving fast cars, playing ball (Basket & Softball) and arguing. She was headstrong and she behaved as if she was my first child, not my 3rd. (Thought my first daughter). She kept all her siblings straightened out, or at least tried! She was "Large & In charge!" I used to joke that she came into the world with a cigarette ( of course in a holder) in one hand and a glass of wine in the other saying "I'm the Boss!" Tara was employed at Adesa Car Auction where she was in charge of several financial accounts. She had worked there in High school. She had left and worked for Yahoo, Nascar, Dirt Motor Sports all before returning to Adesa.

Tara was taken from us by her husband. He shot her in the back of the head with a 410 deer slug. She had turned her back to him, had one son on her hip and was leaning down to pick up the other son. He took their mother away from them while she was trying to get them out of the house. Her 10 year old son was in shock, thinking it wasn't really happening, they were just playing around. He ran over to his Mom and lifted her head. It was then he felt the gaping hole the shot had left. She was clutching a phone which had blood all over it. My younger grandson's were covered in blood and screaming and crying over their Mother's lifeless body. My older grandson, began running around the house trying to find a different phone to use to call 911. Meanwhile, his step father began rummaging the house looking for another shot gun shell. My oldest grandson began following him around the house, telling him he didn't really have to do this. He told him "I've "HURT" your Mother". He shot himself through the bottom of the mouth. He lived a few minutes after doing this my grandson said. My 10 year old grandson went and held his hand until he passed. He then gathered his brothers, became annoyed with the 911 operator who he said "asked the address about 10 times."
