Linda Lopez

Linda was a beautiful, funny, energetic, young lady, just starting her life. Until her life was taken too soon, in the hands of her ex-boyfriend who believed if he couldn't have her no one else would. Their relationship was a controlling, possessive, jealous, toxic relationship. She decided to leave so she could start living her life. They had a 9 month baby boy. Her ex took advantage of the situation when I (her mother) left town for the weekend.

He began harassing her the day I left and continued through the weekend. Linda didn't want her friends to say anything to me because she knew I would get mad. Seeing Linda with her friends that weekend at the house upset him more. Because she had been forced to distance herself from them during their relationship.

Reaching the early morning of Sunday, he went to the house and brutally shot her, not knowing her 11yr old brother was there, along with their baby.  That's when I got the call. Which was 3 hours away. To find out that she was murdered. The hardest day of my life! A piece of my soul taken away. How hard it is to say. She is at peace now.
