Biography

Katlyn Josie Cole, age 24 of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 10, 2022. She was born on May 21, 1997 in Bellevue, Ohio.

Katlyn loved to spend time with her son who she adored, as well as friends and family, and she was an excellent singer. Katlyn worked most recently at Whirlpool Corp, and she absolutely loved 4-wheeling, hiking the mountains of Colorado, and all things outdoors. She loved to travel. Katlyn was the life of the party and lit up every room she went into. She was the person that everyone wanted to know and everyone wanted to be around. Her presence was profound and once she entered your life she left an impression that was nothing short of soul binding. Her laugh was contagious, and could be heard for miles. Her eyes were kind in a manner that gave an insight of the depths of her soul, pure. In her absence your heart needed more. But in her death, our souls ache for more. She is survived by her son Emerson Whiting; her parents Jeremy (Kim) Cole and Rosa (Beryl) Galindo-Walters; her siblings Megan (Cole Robertson) Davis, Corey Galindo, Zachary (Malwina) Galindo, Caleb Cole, and Swayzee (Hilary) Hood; her niece and nephews Olivur Davis, Axel Galindo, Hailey Robertson, Alex Wolfe, and Jameson Hood; her step-siblings Rhiannon (Josh) Moyer, Acacia Bradner, Little Beryl Walters, and Trevor Walters; her step-nieces and -nephews Basia Regal, Aurelia Moyer, Atlas Moyer, and Evelyn Meiring; her paternal grandfather Elmer Cole and maternal Grandmother Josefa Galindo; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and special family friend Jonah Matthews. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Santos Galindo and her grandmother Katie Cole.
