Morgan Kay Rowley-Harris

Morgan Kay Rowley was born at home in Cedar City, Ut. to Laurice Critchlow-Williamson and Roger Bryce Rowley on May 23rd, 1995. She left this life with her beloved dog, Huck on Feb. 18th, 2023. Morgan grew up in Cedar City, Ut. where she did well in school, danced, played volleyball, played piano and enjoyed reading, ceramics, and baking. She was a professional model for a couple of years. She became disenchanted with the pressure to remain very thin by people in the industry. She married Cody Harris in 2013.They moved to New Orleans, LA while he was in the military. While married, she enjoyed redecorating their home and doing sewing and craft projects. She really wanted to be a mom, but was never able to carry a full term baby. After many fertility treatments and miscarriages, she re-focused her love and energy on their dogs and her nieces and nephews. She built a close relationship with her mother-in-law, Jamie DeMille, who has also passed. She divorced after moving to Ogden, Ut.. She became a medical assistant and enjoyed helping with medical research trials. Morgan spent the rest of her life in northern Utah with her dog Huck. She spent a lot of time with her sisters and made time for her nieces and nephews. Morgan is described as shy and the most gentle, kind, peace-making soul by everyone who knew her. She was artistic, liked to be informed on current issues, thought deeply and conversed about many subjects. She is preceded in death by Janice Rowley (grandmother), Roger Rowley (grandfather). She is survived by her parents, Laurice Williamson and Bryce Rowley, and siblings; Cierra Rowley, Angele' Rowley, River Rowley, Melo Egerton and Isaiah Egerton, grandparents; Marlane Kesler and Paul Critchlow. The summer of 2022, Morgan met Her abuser.. who would become her boyfriend. He moved in with her right away. None of her family liked him.. we all told her he was creepy and had sketchy/weird vibes. We told her she can do better that she shouldn't settle...

He manipulated her, he made her feel badly about herself to the point where she didn't think she could do better... He should have been in jail for previous DV charges against other woman before her... But the Utah justice system failed and let him out...AGAIN... 

This case is still open.. but what we do know.. is her abuser locked her and her dog in a burning storage unit... and then admitted it. 

Our hearts continue to weigh heavy at the loss of our sweet Morgan.. We continue to fight the Utah justice system in hopes of keeping this "man", and other domestic abusers behind bars where they belong.
